Hi guys here is the plan for paris:
Because for no apprent reason the competition is running from monday to wed and the fact that there is very little to do in paris on a sunday we will be getting the over night ferry on sunday the 7th march and going straight to the competition. After the competition we will split off into two groups, those of you that want to get back to lectures/work etc I will book a ferry back on the thursday and those that have time to spare and want to stay a bit longer we will book a hotel and probably come back on the saturday so we can have some time to have fun in paris.
Could everyone who wants to come please respond to this asap stateing what wepon you want to do and if you want to come back on the thursday or saturday. I have to get the entries in and sort out the accomodation/teams so I am making the deadline the 2nd of Feb. If you havent replied to this post by then, you are not comming.
Also as a final note we have some funding which will go towards subsidising the ferry/competition accomodation and entry fees but depending on the numbers going the priority of this funding goes to students.

Cerri here
I would like to come, doing Foil (just don't stick me in a team that actually has a chance of winning something)
I'd be up for the extra few days, if theres other people sticking around, and depending on how much it costs

Yes interested. Will probably just still till Thursday and probably do all weapons unless it cost alot more to do all 3. How much will it cost roughly?

Kit you can only do one weapon since the competitions run in parallel.
Last year it cost us around £80 per person for the whole weekend, (not including going out or entry fees, I think), but the funding we have is different, the arrangements are different and the number of people coming will affect the price, so you'll just have to wait and see.
Some people STILL need to pay for last year's Paris trip. To name and shame those people are Adrian and Morgan, I think because Adrian owed Chris some money or something like that. Anyway, I have Adrian owing £4.56 still and Chris owing £79.88. Can you let me know what the situation is Adrian, so I can collect from the appropriate person?
I'm not coming because this semester is just going to be too busy. Have a good time, though, everyone!

I'd definitely be up for doing Paris again, assuming we can get an epee team together.
Very tempted by the extra days, but I'm still not entirely sure I can write off an entire week.

the first ferry back on either of the days is at 1700 so james you would miss the football and mark you pretty much have written off the entire week anyways.
kit its a team event for the men so knowing you would do any weapon i will use you if we are short of a person on a team.
to everyone.... it will be more expensive this year as we are staying in a hotel not the militay barracks during the competition and by the looks of it there is a lot of us wanting to go so the funding wont streach far. Ill try and make it as cheap as possible but untill I know exactly how many people are going I cant tell you how much it will be per head.
