Varsity this year will be on Sunday the 28th of Febuary. Due to the facilities at Pompey being rubbish it will be held in southampton again. Most of the sports will be based in Wide lane but we have been told that our matches will be in the activites room starting with the mens match at 11 and the womens to follow directly after. We will have T-shirts as last year and there will be the afterparty again for the competitors.
Emma: can you please put it on the main page/events calender?
Vince: We both need to sort our teams out for this
People on the teams: get back to me or vice to let us know if you can make it.
Everyone else: Come support us!!!

I have been known as vice before, I must say... At the moment, my team's going to be the standard BUCS team although I might make a few changes and swap out one or two for non team members. Sooooo... Foil: Me, Amos and Kit(Although sorry kit, may swap you out for another foilist) Sabre: Amos, Andrew and Kit Epee: Nathan, Rhind and Norris
I'm not sure if Amos can make it, I'll double check with him. If he can't, it'd make Varsity interesting...
I'll get back to you with my final decision as soon as possible.

Unless we need to, I'd rather give my current team and some of our current fencers a chance. Saying that, we may need a sabreur.

I'm with Vince on this one. It's basically a competitive friendly. Unless you're really hard up, e.g. nobody with any sabre experience say, then I would stick to students, even give some of the beginners a chance.

I was just thinking if you are short of people then it may be nice if we gave graham or mark james a chance as they dont have the chance to ever compete with us... the newbies will have plenty of oppertunities down the line.... as you said it is a friendly between clubs and not a bucs match... even still i want to put out the best teams we can out so we can beat them.

Think we might have a bit of difficulty passing off Mark James and Graham as students.......
No offence or anything

well there is nothing to say that they have to be students.... besideds mark is a member of staff and so therefore fully legible to fence. anyways all this is besides the point it all depends on if we can get a full team out or not.
